Oh, such beautiful artwork! And now I finally understand why Zeus is such a dick in the future. He just has scars.

;; Oh- I didn't see that coming. And to be honest I had to wikipedia who Metis was when I read this. Apparently a titan and Zeus' first Queen. Interesting...

No she isn't Hera is, Hera gave birth to both Ares and Athena.

@hadesislovely23: Actually Metis did give birth to athena. She was like a fly in Zeus head or something. Hera's kids were Ares and Haephestus. (sorry if I spelled that wrong)=D

Athena's destiny Metis was, of course, Athena's mother. In the Greek Myth, Zeus swallow her to prevent her son's birth becasuse he was "destined" to hurl down him. Zeus, however don't realized his action not only will catalyst Athena's born from his head, but a symbolic chance about the prophecy in Athena: her later ability to stop his excess againts the humans as Goddess of Wisdom without dethrone him.
